A proud tradition of local service

Holts have been operating in the motor vehicle industry since 1926 with the establishment of a motor garage at Piangil selling Morris motor vehicles and trucks, H.V McKay and Massey Harris farm equipment and fuel, oil and parts.

In 1937 they moved to Swan Hill expanding into Humber and Hillman vehicles and Commer Trucks and in 1970 were awarded the Chrysler franchise. In 1981 Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited took over Chrysler and in 2005 Holts were awarded the Hyundai franchise.

Holts Timeline

1926	Piangil Motors is established by William Holt & Beecher Hungerford, starting with a workshop, spare parts, and Shell lubricants.
1937	The business moved to the expanding township of Swan Hill Victoria and Bickley’s garage on McCallum Street is purchased, with a workshop, spare parts, and fuel supply. They also began selling and servicing Sunshine Farm Machinery. Later that year building new premises at 393 Campbell Street with selling Sunshine McKay farm machinery.
1965	Our current premises are built this year at 69-75 Campbell Street Swan Hill. Holts also began selling and servicing Humber & Hillman brands of vehicles. Also starting up the Service station.
1970	Holts is awarded the Chrysler Franchise.
1981	Mitsubishi Motors Aust. Ltd. takes over the Chrysler brand & production facilities, as a result, the triple red diamond of the Mitsubishi Motors logo becomes prominent at the Holts showroom where it still sits today.
1990	The service station switches over to Mobil Fuels.
2005	Holts was awarded the Hyundai franchise.
2010	The service station returns to selling Shell fuels and lubricants.
2012	Holts opens a new Hyundai showroom in Curlewis Street Swan Hill.
2015	The Mitsubishi showroom at 69-75 Campbell Street Swan Hill is updated & modernized.
2016	The service station gets a major refurbishment with new fuel pumps and tanks installed.
2016	Holts is awarded the Isuzu UTE franchise, located on Curlewis Street Swan Hill.
2018	97 Curlewis Street is purchased and a Holts new vehicle accessory & Pre-Delivery Centre is built.
